I love "Goob" He's so energetic and loves sports and the athletes who participate.
LOTS of points, 8man!! LOL.
I like Janesville, Riceville and Don Bosco to win.
I also like West Central, Springville and Easton Valley
I don't think that's a bad idea, Jim ...
How about this ... if it's a district champion against a non-champion, they host. If it's two district champs (or two runners-up, etc.) ... they go to a neutral site. I like that.
He offered one large Mabe's pizza, Mary!
Likely not me, Mary. I am tethered to IC Regina this fall.
(From the moderator: Five-minute warning!)
Doubt if JJ or I will be involved on a Friday, but you never know.
Lindy, JJ, Jim Nelson, Ashley Schable, Jim Leitner, Matt Coss, Matt Levins, Kristi Nixon
I think that sounds reasonable.
I'm old-school, LJ. It keeps time, the numbers are big and it works. Good enough for me.
Scoreboard totally is a UNI thing. Not sure where they'd get the money. And thank you Jim Gerard!
Sounds good, Jim. You can follow me @kjpilcher on Twitter.
UNI needs an athletics sugar daddy like Wartburg has.
That's nice of you, LFC. Check is in the mail.
Another cheap plug. Will be writing a story for Friday's paper/website on Ed-Co senior Paul Olinger. Leads the Vikings in rushing and tackles (2 straight seasons there) despite not having a left hand. Lost it in a farm accident when he was 11.
That's going to be a terrific story.
That is awesome. Can't wait to read your story JJ.
I'll be at Kingston Thursday and Friday.
Continuing with "The Program" project. I will be at Regina at Eddyville-Blakesburg/Fremont game
I want rain as much as anybody, as long as it holds off from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday. Could get nasty.
I don't think you can get there from here.
Have you ever been down there, Pilchy
Hawkeye, you know Paul Olinger?
Eddyville? Not for sport. My family is from Eldon...No jokes, please.
I covered a girls track meet at Eddyville during my Fairfield days. Track/football field up on a hill.
Has anyone ever been to Blakesburg? They used to have a really good boys' basketball program.
Pilcher family cemetery is somewhere between Eldon and one of those EB towns.
