Alburnett must win by 11-plus .... or if North Cedar wins, any victory will do.
Prior means before. Tim Lewis is the current Kennedy Coach, Seth.
Going out on a limb here, football fan, but I think they make it through first 2 rounds -- at least.
I think so too. Don't know if you can call an 8-1, district-champion team a sleeper, but if you can, Washington's it.
Would a potential NFV and ICR matchup be in the semifinals?
Zach, I like NFV. They got quite the break this season, remaining in 1A after combining. They're a 2A school, right, Lindy?
Good question, Charles. I'm taking Ryan Schmidt.
Correct, JJ ... NFV and Regina wouldn't play until the championship, KJ, so ... maybe that could happen?
Schmidt is good fro a numbers standpoint. Will LM still run the same uptempo offense and/or need to throw so much in a year, if their defense improves.
Good one, Lindy. His season has been pretty overlooked with Linn-Mar's poor team. I'd take Reid Snitker. You want name of a sophomore to be junior? The Dralle kid from Kennedy.
Reid Snitker would be my second pick.
Or how about the Xavier defense?
Hard not to take Snitker.
I don't know about next season, Lindy. They're gonna have about 11 starters to replace.
It's almost more like a North/South. NFV is D4, Regina D6. So I don't think they play til the finals.
Weird, kinda like when Decorah played Union for the title.
That's the first thing that came to mind, Lindy
Phil, that is a tough but very good question.
Linn-Mar 2011 was very good, but lost prematurely after Wantock got hurt.
Xavier 2012 obviously was a special outfit.
Have to consider last year's Xavier team just for getting to Finals. Linn-Mar team from a couple years ago was pretty darn good as well, even though the postseason wasn't as deep.
Iowa City West plays Waterloo East
Wasn't Washington's team 5 years ago really good? Keenan Davis' senior year? Or was that 6 years ago?
No, Iowa ... the whole bracket is determined Friday.
That might be six or seven years ago. They were solid.
That was Lombardi's 2nd or 3rd year I believe.
They made the semifinals and lost to CF maybe after beating them in the regular season?
Basically a coin flip. I'll say Mount Vernon, because they're at home.
