CCA must not have been horrible last week.
I think two 4A West teams have a shot at getting in with 2-7 marks. Mason City and SC West are both 2-6 and are in fourth in their districts. They both face likely losses this week.
I would really like each class to go to 24 qualifiers. Reward the district champs with first-round byes.

By the way, talked to City High Coach Dan Sabers tonight. Without prompting, he offered that he has heard 4A district football might be coming to Eastern Iowa next season. What a colossal mistake that would be. Apparently this is MAC driven.
I think Monticello and the 4th-place team from that district are going to be very hard-pressed to get out of the first round. Will have to play New Hampton and Waukon on the road.
I don't think so, LisbonLions. Lynnville-Sully is decent (Underachieved a little due to a slow start) but I think Lisbon is better.
I think they're a long way apart.
How good is Kohle Helle, Craig?
I still think Xavier's the team to beat in the east half.
Mike, Xavier has had some very good D-II players over the year as well, if I remember correctly.
OK, Seth, name the C.R. Kennedy coach prior to Tim Lewis.
I think Clayton Ridge could be one of those "surprise" teams, Craig, honestly.
I don't think so, James. But it's not impossible.
I gotta think about that one, K.J. Did he cry a lot after games?
I think Clayton Ridge would be Regina's 2nd-round opponent.
Just to contradict Linder. I'll take Alburnett.
To qualify for the playoffs, Tim?
Hi, Charles. From what I understand, Xavier Washpun has not taken the ACT, yet, so that is slowing his recruiting at the moment. I like him. Has a little speed, runs very tough.
Physically not as big as Ronald Thompson, though.
Play physical and allow the Phillip kid to have a run/pass option. Use Dylan Windfield to try and grind it out.
