Who gets the on-sides kick?
And, I'm obviously still sitting in the press box !!!
Guess all those Iowa fans who left are now trying to get back into the stadium
Whoa Nellie ... Beathard hits Martin-Manley with a TD pass and it's going to be 21-14 with 1:42 left.
The last angle on the replay showed the arm going forward. Iowa catches a break
Oh well, like I said, 21-7 and Iowa will not cover spread -- because this play will be upheld
Well that didn't last long.
Probably too little, too late, but this Iowa team hasn't really quit all season.
Of course, they still have to score!
Mr. Cotton 96-yard return may help Iowa cover the spread :))))
And, I will be leaving this chat to head to the locker room for post-game interviews. Looks like final score will be LSU 21-7. Read all about it at thegazette.com and in tomorrow's Gazette as well as on KCRG-TV9
Iowa fans leaving the stadium ...
There is your MVP, ladies and gentlemen!!!!
True, which is why the SEC dominates the Big Ten most days
Take away Lowdermilk's long interception return and Hawks are shut out.
As the clock winds down, you can say Iowa gave LSU a game. then again, this was an LSU team that lost its starting QB (who's bound for the NFL) in its last game and also was missing one of its best defensive linemen.
But the three senior LBs made plenty of noise on their way out of Hawkeyeland today.
THERE's your ballgame (I think).
Hill putting this game away for LSU. Fitting, since his run on the first play from scrimmage set the tone for the day
Can't give up another first down.
Boot was bad call. Period.
