Burglary is a lesser charge of robbery. They could only consider the murder and robbery charges.
I don't think they can now. I think they would have to do it at the time.
I realize this isn't the verdict some wanted but I'm sure the jury did what they thought was right. I hope the Stickley family can move on someday.
