Some were pushed back and I'm not sure. I think there might be one in November but its a sexual abuse case involving a child. I wouldn't cover that one live. I think there's a murder trial in December but I'm not sure it will go.
Anybody have any questions about the trial?
Collins, Harris and Owens said they did. I don't think Robinson did.
I can only imagine. So sorry for your family.
As long as it takes. There's no time limit on deliberations. You can never predict a jury.
It is horrible for the families when things are said about the victims and in this case there was no proof or evidence of their claims.
No, just the aerial street maps yesterday.
Did police check out the knife?
That's why I'm asking because that's what investigators said during the trial that no weapon was recovered.
OK, thanks for information. You mentioned you were scheduled to testify on Monday but they cancelled it. I guess your testimony wouldn't have helped the defense much.
No verdict yet, Kids! I'm afraid it's going to be a long afternoon. They also haven't had any questions.
I hear you. The bad thing is both counties lack diversity. I'm not sure how that can be resolved. I thought it was interesting that during the jury selection, Johnston brought the fact that there were no black people in the jury panel and said it wasn't fair but some white people on the panel said it was offensive to them to assume they convict him based on race.
People are randomly chosen according to voter registration and maybe driver's licenses, so I don't know how that could be resolved.
Right but I think some feel like a person of color can't have a panel of their peers if there is none on the jury.
I think someone asked me earlier about upcoming trials. I was thinking Edward Cusic's murder trial was in December but it's now in January and not sure it will go then. He is accused of killing his mother with a crowbar. That should be an interesting one.
Cool! Thanks. I'm tired of the Subway in Nevada. I've become a regular ;)
Nobody has any questions about the case or trial? Nobody has any derogatory comments to make about the defense attorney or prosecutor? Just kidding on that one!
That is wrong spelling but hey, I make typos on the blog. It's OK. I know what they were talking about. They didn't bring up any mental issues.
Not too much. I could tell he got upset when Owens and Collins testified but on the stand he was calm and monotone.
I did notice one day he kept stretching his arms and yawning when they were showing crime scene photos of victim.
Yes. I just heard there is a verdict.
It will take some time for them to bring Mitchell from the jail and to get the attorneys here. Not sure how long. I'm guessing 15 minutes.
Keep following and I will let you know.
